Expert Mold Remediation

Excessive humidity and moisture in your home can lead to several unwanted “guests,” including many different molds and fungi. By reducing the humidity level in your home, you can remove the primary cause of mold growth and significantly improve your home’s air quality.

Molds are a form of microbial fungi and a significant source of indoor air pollution. Different kinds of molds are common in buildings and homes—they can multiply anywhere indoors with moisture. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), many building materials actually “feed” mold by providing nutrients that encourage mold to grow. Mold is associated with allergies, asthma, other breathing disorders, and immune system issues in some people. Mold can even lead to wood rot and permanent damage that may lower your home’s value.

Clean & Dry Environmental Solutions specializes in moisture control, which is the key to getting rid of mold, or preventing mold growth in the first place. Our mold prevention and remediation services include:

Mold Remediation FAQs

Mold is a type of fungus that can grow almost anywhere. It reproduces through spores, and grows in moist environments. Mold has been linked with a number of health issues in some people.

Excessive moisture and dampness promote mold growth. Moisture in cardboard, ceiling tiles and wood products stimulate growth of some molds. Other materials such as wallpaper, insulation materials, drywall, carpet and upholstery may also support mold growth.

Some mold is normal, and no home will ever be completely mold-free; however, removing excess moisture and controlling the humidity level in the home is the best way to keep mold at a normal, healthy level.
